There are four types of shows that you can have to earn your FREE candles:
A traditional live in-home show
An external live show
A traditional book/catalog show
An on-line book/catalog show
The Traditional In-Home Show
A traditional in-home show is held in your home. The consultant (hopefully, me!) comes to your home, brings a sampling of items, demonstrates those items, plays games and educates the hostess and the guests. These shows typically result in the highest sales and the most free credit for the hostess.
The External Live Show
Not everyone wants to have people in their home - "it's too small", "it's too cluttered", "the kids will be in everything"! There are many other options including: restaurants, offices, halls, etc. Don't let the lack of location stop you from having a show. Contact me and we'll come up with some other options!
Traditional Book/Catalog Show
In this case, the consultant gives you a few catalogs and a lot of order forms and sends you on your way to start collecting orders from your family, friends, co-workers, etc. The responsibility all falls on the hostess to sell and get the orders back to the consultant.
On-Line Book/Catalog Show
This is brand new for us and has been VERY successful so far! Hostesses still receive one or two catalogs, but can direct guests to the consultant's website to shop on-line. Hostesses still get their full benefits (25% hostess credit, monthly specials and half price items), but with even less work - no filling out forms or calculating tax and shipping and handling. Guests love the ability to place their order directly on-line and hostesses love the ability to login to their hostess account and see the orders.
